Protect Your Online Folders

This tutorial will teach you how to protect your online folders that you wish to keep private. Please note that it is not 100% fool proof, as experienced hackers have their ways around these things. I will not go into that.
Let's say your folder name was called password. To access the folder, visitors just have to type yourdomain.com/password to access it. If you're thinking that they don't even know the folder exists, they can connect (telnet) to your website, type dir ____, then it will list all your directories and folders.
Open up your Notebook or any other text editor, such as cPanel editor, etc. Type in a random message for your snooping guest. Save it as index.html or index.php. If you have both index.html and index.php on your website, the index.html will overwrite your index.php. Upload it onto the folder that you wish to protect against some snoopers.
Open up the folder. yourdomain.com/foldername and your message will be displayed!
