What is Your Definition of Webdesign?

What is your definition of "webdesign"? Actually, if you ask me, I don't really know. I've never really thought about it before.Now that I come across it, I have no idea.
To some people, it may mean HTML, CSS, Photoshop. To others it may mean setting up a page.
You can ask a three year old(0.o who would do that?), and they might just say,"wuts dat?" If you ask an old man, he may give you a long detailed explanation which you don't understand.
So....we come back to the original question~ what does "webdesigning" mean to you? I'd like some thoughts. I'll post some really good ones up here with your name, and site.

Creating your own space. It's the way the page is set up, the design of the layout/picture, and all that you put into your blogs. To me, it's very personal. Some people cater a lot to their visitors, but I'm concerned mostly with what I think about my own site.-Stephanie

I think webdesign is exactly like it sounds like: designs (or presentation) of the web (or internet).-Amy

Webdesigning is setting a standard for people to follow, using innovations to make something good. However, just making websites? Piece of cake. Take a bit of heart and a bit of imagination, tie it together with a bit of skill, and you've got something people can enjoy. -Ranjani (Biscuitrat)

Webdesign is putting a site together, using html, css, and photoshop (or what have you)...integrating creativity with functionality and fun. -Jen
